With the start of maintenance works on the electrical substation, there will be no electricity for eight consecutive hours from November 8 in some areas of the capital. Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO) will complete the repair of 32 substations in its 15-day repair schedule. DESCO announced the power outage on November 2 with an announcement.
November 6: Power will be cut on several roads in Gulshan, Banani Post Office and several roads in Banani to repair the Kakli SS substation.
November 9: Dakshin Khan substation SS to be repaired. November 11: Uttara Grid SS and Tongi-3 SS will be renewed. On that day, there will be no electricity on some roads and in the Sonargaon Janpath area of Sector 11 of Uttara.
November 12: Mirpur SS2, Mohakhali SS and Kalachandpur switching substations will be repaired. On that day, Mirpur Muktijoddha Cooperative Market, Shah Ali School and College, Mazar, North Bishal Turag City, Beribandh, Golartech, Harirampur, Priyaprangan Dwelling, Jahanabad, Mirpur New Market, Dhaka Eye Hospital, Janata Housing Area, Mohakhali R, Mohakhaliar I, There will be no electricity on the east side of Kakli Bus Stand Airport Road from the building, some roads in Baridhara K block, part of UN Road and Kuril Biswaroad from Narda to Pragati Sarani.
Nov 15: Several Mirpur DOHS avenues, Gulshan-1 highways 23, 24, 26, 21, 30, 26 and some highways will be without power that day. Additionally, there will be no electricity in West Agargaon, Water Tank Junction, District Elections Office, LGED Zone Office, Barek Mollah Junction, Kashem Shop, North Pirerbagh, Mike Shop, Shewrapara Anandabazar and adjacent areas.
November 18: The BSCIC substation in Tongi will be repaired. Therefore, there will be no electricity in the surrounding area, including the east side of the BSIC water tank.
Nov 18: There will be no electricity in Kawla Mollabari, ASEAN City Road, Ashkona, Hajj Camp and surrounding areas.
November 19: Bashundhara SS, Mirpur SS-2 to be repaired. Therefore, most of the uptown areas of Bashundhara, IEB, North South University, Grameenphone, Jamuna and Jugantar offices will be without electricity. Also, there will be no electricity at Mirpur Independent Super Market, Shah Ali Bagh, Muktijoddha Complex, Zoo and Botanical Gardens and surrounding areas, Ansar Camp adjacent to Mirpur-1, Delta Hospital and the residential area of Tolarbagh that day.
November 22: There will be no electricity at DCC Market and Gulshan Avenue, including several roads in Gulshan 1. Power will also be cut in the residential area of Pallabi, the Grameen Telecom Trust building, Olympia and Jerin Textile, Ansar Camp, Tolarbagh, Kalyanpur Natunbazar, Jhilpar slum areas.
November 23: Shahjadpur, the US embassy, the Japanese and Chinese embassies, and surrounding areas, including North Badda Hajipara, will be without power.
Nov 25: There will be no electricity at Kuril Bishwa Road, Radisson Hotel, Manikdi, Barantech, Balughat, Lichubagan, Sheorabazar, Kamarpara Road Ijtema Math and sectors 12, 13, 14 of Uttara, Diabari and some other areas.
November 26: National Heart Foundation, Kidney Foundation, National Housing, Sanofi Factory, Barbagh and surrounding areas will be without power.
November 29: There will be no electricity from the residence of the army chief, the army headquarters to the garrison mosque, the cantonment area, the National Foundation for the Development of Disabilities, the Homoeo Medical College and the police station of Vasantek police.
November 30: There will be no electricity in some areas of Sector 4 and 6 in Uttara, on both sides of the Azampur to Abdullahpur highway, in the Kanthaldia, Gazipura and Bagairtek areas.
