The Information Minister and the Deputy General Secretary of the Awami League asked to speak out on social media against any propaganda. Hasan Mahmud.

He made the call while addressing a debate hosted by K-Force Online on the occasion of the golden anniversary of independence at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity auditorium in the capital on Thursday noon.

The Information Minister said that a page is opened hiding the identity from the country or online propaganda against the government is carried out from abroad. It is also rumored that a boy becomes a girl or a girl becomes a boy, and that the living are dead. Innocent people have died in an attempt to spread panic by kidnapping children across the country by spreading rumors of sacrifices on the Padma Bridge. There have been mischievous attempts to spread rumors that thousands of corpses lie in the country of Corona. There are rumors that the coronavirus vaccine in India, for testing in others, will not work. Those who infect it are now being vaccinated. Some have taken it in secret.

Dr. Hasan Mahmud urged everyone to always speak up on social media and speak out against any kind of propaganda. At the same time, publicize the achievements of the country, the government and the people through social networks. Approximately 6 to 7 million million people in Bangladesh use social media. So advertising is much more important here. If someone spreads propaganda, it is very important to immediately publish against them.

Regarding the Digital Security Law, the Minister of Information said that when there is no digital problem, there is no digital security problem. When it comes to digital, it is the responsibility of the state to provide security for people online, including through social media. That is why this law. There are other countries in the world. This digital security law is intended to bring digital security to ordinary people, journalists, writers, housewives, students, farmers, workers, rickshaw pullers. So that no one can deceive people by misrepresenting someone or spreading false and false news.

And some people standing in front of the press club who demanded the repeal of this law, actually want the free right to spread rumors. Hassan said the newspaper’s headline said there had been civil society protests. Sushil is only five or ten of them! Thousands of people in Bangladesh are civilized, many people are intellectuals. And the law must also provide digital security for those ten protesters.

In the context of the recent statement by the Secretary General of BNP, said the Minister of Information, Mr. Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has brought various accusations against the government. BNP’s love for Israel is. Because when Khaleda Zia was in government, when Israeli forces killed hundreds of Palestinians, the Awami League presented a motion of mourning and condemnation in Parliament. The Khaleda Zia government did not agree, it is not willing to make any proposals against Israel. So Israel’s love is with the BNP.

The government did not buy any kind of equipment from Israel. Hasan Mahmud said that when rumors are not spread on social media, foreign media are hired to make false reports. That report is also cannabis, not a standard report. The television channels of our country and even several online reports are better than this.

In fact, the deputy general secretary of the Awami League commented that BNP is upset to see that the country has gone from being a less developed to a middle-income country today. They didn’t do that either. That is, they do not like any development or progress in the country.

Lawyer Mohammad Mahzabin Khaled, chairman of the organizing committee, chaired the meeting. Zakir Hossain spoke as a special guest.
