A Chittagong-based company has brought another luxury ship to the country from Cox’s Bazar to St. Martin’s. The modern ship will be incorporated into tourist transport in late October or early November.

Last Saturday, an organization called Karnafuli Ship Builders brought the ship ‘MV Bay One’ from Japan to the Chittagong port area.

The maximum speed of the boat manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan will be 24 nautical miles.

The ship was previously called ‘Sylvia Saru’, but after the change of ownership it was renamed ‘MV Bay One’. On Saturday, the ship stopped at the Karnafuli Drydock jetty next to the Naval Academy. It came from the port of Yokohama in Japan. After the renovations, you will be taken to Cox’s Bazar.

With permission, the ship could be used to transport tourists in late October or early November, the company said.

Construction of a new jetty has started at Darianagar on Marine Drive Road in Cox’s Bazar to unload the ship.

A few days ago, another Karnafuli Ship Builders ‘Karnafuli Express’ started the first direct passenger transport from Cox’s Bazar on the St. Martin route.

Measuring about 121 meters long, 15.3 meters wide and 5.4 meters deep, the ship has about two thousand seats, including the cabin, presidential suite and general seats.
