Azerbaijan has demanded the downing of another Armenian Sukhoi-25 fighter jet. This is the third war plane crash in the past four days, the country’s Defense Ministry said on Monday.

A statement from the Defense Ministry said he was shot down during an airstrike against an Azerbaijani base in the Jangilian region on Sunday.

The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan has lasted since September 27. Breaking the third ceasefire on October 10, the two countries of the former Soviet Union were embroiled in a bitter conflict.

Azerbaijan’s chief prosecutor’s office says at least 100 civilians have been killed in Armenian attacks since the new conflict began.

At least 2,500 houses, 92 apartments and 427 government buildings were damaged in the attack, according to the Azerbaijani authorities.

Internationally, Nagorno-Karabakh is a region of Azerbaijan. It is occupied by ethnic Armenian groups. More than 30,000 people died in the war between the two countries of the former Soviet Union in the 1990s.
