The Ministry of Education has issued an order approving the establishment and operation of the RTM Al-Kabir Technical University at the Tultikar Union TB Gate in Sylhet Sadar.

The Department of Secondary and Higher Education on Wednesday sent a letter to Ahmed Al Kabir, founder and founder of the university, granting him temporary permission to run the university.

With this new university, the number of private universities in the country stood at 108.

Ahmed Al Kabir, main sponsor of the private voluntary organization Simantik and founder of the research institute ‘Research, Training and Management’, was previously the president of Rupali Bank.

As always, the creation of this new university has been approved under 23 conditions. The proposed university must have its own or leased building of at least 25,000 square feet.

Adequate infrastructure that includes at least three faculties and six departments under the faculties, adequate classrooms, library, laboratory, common room for students, seminar rooms.

The order also said that a plan for the proposed college education activities would have to be approved by the College Scholarship Commission.

In the midst of the coronavirus epidemic, the government last June approved the creation of a private university in Uttara, Dhaka, called ‘Microland University of Science and Technology’.
