The country has a new registry of patients diagnosed with coronavirus infection in 24 hours; Another 50 people died in one day.
According to the Health Department, in the last 24 hours until 8 a.m. on Friday, 6,630 new cases of corona were identified in the country. That beat yesterday’s highest identification record.
The number of patients identified so far in the country with new patients stood at 6 lakh 24,594 people. A total of 9,155 people died from coronavirus in the country, including 50 who died in the last day. This is the highest number of patients identified in a single day since the start of the epidemic in the country.
On Monday, a year after the first coronavirus case was detected in Bangladesh on March 8 last year, more than 5,000 new cases were reported on Monday. Through it, the total number of identified patients in the country has exceeded six lakh. The number of patients identified daily exceeds six thousand in three days.
The government confirmed the first coronavirus death in the country on March 16 of last year, 10 days after the first patient was identified, surpassing 9,000 last Wednesday. Of these, 64 deaths were reported in a single day on June 30, the highest number of deaths in a single day.
With the increase in the number of patients identified for several days in a row, the detection rate has also increased to 23.28 percent compared to the 24-hour test.
According to the Health Department, 2,463 more patients have been cured in the last day. So far, the total number of healthy patients has risen to 5 lakh 46,411 people.
According to the Department of Health, 29,339 samples have been analyzed in 228 laboratories across the country in the last 24 hours. So far 48 lakh 26,113 samples have been tested.
Considering the 24-hour sample test, the detection rate is 23.28 percent, so far the total detection rate is 13.21 percent. Granted, the recovery rate is 8.74 percent and the death rate is 1.47 percent.
Of those killed on the last day, 40 were men and 10 women. One of them died at home. The rest died in hospital.
The age analysis showed that 32 of the dead were over 60 years old, 11 between 51 and 60 years old, four between 41 and 50 years old, two between 31 and 40 years old and one between 21 and 30 years old. .
The dead included 36 from the Dhaka Division, 6 from the Chittagong Division, 2 from the Rajshahi Division, 3 from the Khulna Division and 2 from the Sylhet Division.
