In the last 24 hours (until 8 a.m. on Sunday), 31 people have died from coronavirus infection in the country. At the same time, 1,006 new patients have been identified.

So far 4 lakh 8,545 corona infections have been detected in the country. Of them, 6,738 died. 3 lakh 95,960 people have recovered.

In the last 24 hours, samples from 13,217 people in the country were analyzed, including antigen-based tests. Taking into account the number of tests, the patient identification rate is 12.80 percent.

The death rate in the country so far is 1.43 percent considering the infection.
The first coronavirus infection was detected in Wuhan, China, in December last year. Gradually, the epidemic spread to almost every country in the world. The government said it had identified the first infection in Bangladesh on March 8.

Rates of early patient identification were low. The infection began to increase from the middle of last May. By the end of that month, the patient identification rate had exceeded 20 percent. By the third week of August, it was above 20 percent.

Thereafter, the rate of new patient identification also began to decline. At one stage, the daily patient identification rate dropped to 10 percent.
