Another student testified in court on Wednesday in the murder case of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad. With this, the testimony of 42 witnesses in the case was completed. Tajwar Bakhtiyar Zahid testified in court on Wednesday. He lived in room number 2006 in BUET’s Sher-e-Bangla Hall.
Tajwar Bakhtiyar told the court that he went to the hall bathroom around 11:40 pm on October 6 last year. Then you see a lot of sandals in room number 2011. Later he came to his room. Then he went to the canteen with his wallet to bring food. Then at 11:50 pm Anik saw Sarkar (defendant) go from room 2011 to 2012. There were a few more with Anik. Then Morshed Amartya Islam (accused) came to his room. He asked, what is happening in room number 2011? At first, Morshed Amartya Islam did not want to say anything. He later said that a person was arrested in room number 2011 on suspicion of being a Shibir. Later he left the hall to have breakfast with Rafsan Redwan Ahnaf. He came back around 2pm. Then he went to room number 2006 and saw Morshed Amartya Islam. When asked, Morshed Amartya Islam told him that Abrar Fahad, a student from the 16th group, was beaten by Anik Sarkar, Robin, and many others. Anik, Sakal, Robin and Zion have hit more.
