The pilot of the fighter plane has been said to have died in the incident.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Turkey’s F-16 fighter jet shot down the Su-25 fighter jet in its airspace. The pilot of the plane died. The country’s defense ministry said the crashed plane was in military service.
Turkey, however, has denied the accusations. A spokesman for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters that Turkey did not take part in the war. As a result, it is not about destroying Armenian warplanes. It is pure Armenian propaganda.
