Since the morning of May 25, members of the Ambush Party have been waiting for the train to arrive. When the train reached the ambush area at 11 am, four shots were fired at the train car from two RR guns in the direction of Lieutenant Nabi. Rocket launchers stationed 300 meters ahead also began firing accurately. Other members of the Ambush group also fired with their respective weapons.

She is a horrible sight. About half the train derailed. The Ambush Party quickly withdrew to Indian territory without delay.

There was a huge convoy of Pakistani soldiers in the train car. The surviving enemy soldiers covered the railway line and fired heavily. But by then, the Mukti Bahini members were able to move to a safe distance. After the successful ambush operation, the freedom fighters returned to the Sobra camp.

Of the number of ambush operations carried out on moving trains in the area under the leadership of Captain Idris, the enemy suffered the most casualties in the operation to this day. Approximately 70 enemy soldiers were killed in the ambush on this day. Furthermore, at least 100 Razakars collected from Parbatipur and Syedpur were killed. In the early stages of the liberation war it was a significant operation in the region. After the operation of this day, the movement of the train on this route was stopped for a long time.
