Expressing deep concern over the death of writer Mushtaq Ahmed in Kashimpur prison, ambassadors and high commissioners from 13 prominent countries in Bangladesh have called for a transparent and independent investigation into the incident.

The call was made in a joint statement issued by the ambassadors and high commissioners of 13 countries belonging to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on Friday.
