Chittagong: The body of Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi, Emir of Hefazat-e-Islam, has arrived at Al-Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Uloom Mueenul Islam Madrasa in Hathazari.

On Saturday (September 19) around 9:30 am, the ambulance carrying the body was taken to Hathazari Madrasa under RAB surveillance.

At that moment, his fans grabbed the ambulance and burst into tears.

Until the writing of this report, the ambulance transporting the body was kept in the inner field of the madrassa for the comfort of the followers of Allama Shafi. Crowds of devotees have gathered there to see Allama Shafi for the last time.

Earlier on Friday (September 17), an ambulance carrying Allama Shafi’s body left Dhaka for Chittagong around 3 pm.

Centennial Alem Allama Shafi passed away at the capital’s Asgar Ali Hospital on Friday night. Funeral prayers are scheduled to take place at Hathazari Madrasa on Saturday (September 19) at 2pm.

BGB Platoon 10 has been deployed to Chittagong under the leadership of 6 executive magistrates in addition to the police and RAB to ensure the smooth completion of Allama Shafi’s janaza.
