Department of Primary EducationThe Department of Elementary Education has ordered a halt to all transfers of government elementary school teachers during the Crown period. The directives were sent to the deputy directors of eight departments across the country on Sunday (October 25).
In a letter signed by Khalid Ahmed, Director (Policy and Operations) of the Department of Primary Education, it was reported that educational institutions across the country are closed due to Kovid-19 infection. In this situation, all kinds of teacher transfer activities should be stopped. Faced with this situation, a request was made to stop all kinds of teacher transfers since the school was closed during the Corona period.
According to department sources, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has ordered a temporary stop to the transfer in a centralized manner to start the online transfer process. Although it was closed at the central level, transfers of deputy principals, district education officers, and Upazila education officers were taking place at the local level, except in metropolitan cities and towns. Following the issuance of this directive, all types of transfers were stopped.
Meanwhile, the online transfer program is scheduled to be tested this month, but there is a lot of uncertainty about it. However, if the software trial is completed in early November, the transfer process can start in January. Otherwise, the transfer of hard copies will continue after January. And even if you’re ready online, the policy needs to be changed. Therefore, transfer activities must be carried out under the direction and special arrangements of the ministry. The ministry is in favor of not entering this system in Corona. As a result, there is uncertainty as to whether the transfer process will begin before January.
