On October 12, four people, including SI Akbar, in charge of the outpost, were suspended and three were removed. On October 13, Akbar escaped from police custody. The police arrested him 26 days later. The next day, Akbar was held in pre-trial detention for seven days and interrogated by the Police Investigation Office (PBI). Akbar was sent to jail last Tuesday after his pretrial detention.
