Akbar used ‘Khasia’ after using accounts

Sylhet: SI (fired) Akbar, the mastermind of Raihan’s murder, changed his disguise to hide. But the end was not saved.

Akbar was hiding in Khasia Palli in the Dona border area of ​​Kanaighat. There they dress as Khasias. He puts a beard on his face. Wearing a brown long-sleeved shirt. He tied the waist with a nylon rope. Beaded necklace around the neck. Changes in hairstyle. The purpose was to cross the border on time. But that opportunity no longer existed. Because there was a strict surveillance. As a result, he had to stay in Khasia Palli for some time. At one point, the Khasia assisted him in his arrest. Upon receiving the news, the police arrested him.

He had been on the run since the incident. Akbar was arrested 28 days later.

SI (fired) Akbar Hossain Bhuiyan was the main culprit in the death of Raihan Ahmed in police custody at the Bandarbazar outpost in Sylhet.

According to local sources and the police, Akbar was captured by a mob around 2pm on Monday (October 9) while fleeing through a deep jungle on the Dona border. Later they tied him up with a rope and took him away. As soon as video of the arrest went viral on Facebook, multiple teams, including the district police detective team, rushed to the scene to rescue him from the crowd.

As seen in the video, Akbar was first captured by the local Khasia community. At that moment, she cried to save herself and begged him to let her go. At that moment, the mob tied him up with rope and handed him over to the police.

Raihan was tortured at the police post in the early hours of October 11. He died at Osmani Medical College Hospital around 8:50 am.

The police claimed that Raihan was beaten to death during the abduction, but his family and relatives alleged that the police had arrested and tortured him to death at the outpost.

Raihan’s wife filed a murder case at the Kotwali Police Station. Following the allegations from the family and the case, the Sylhet Metropolitan Police investigation team fired four policemen, including manager Akbar, and removed three more after discovering the truth about Raihan’s death at the torture post. .

According to a source close to the border area, Akbar has been trying to flee since the arrest warrant was issued. Feeling unsafe in the country, he used various sources and tried to flee to neighboring India. To do this, he first crossed the border area. He chose Khasia Palli on the Dona border in Kanaighat, Sylhet. He took refuge in that town.

Witnesses for Donna Border said Akbar stepped forward and presented himself to police at the time of his arrest. At that time, her dress was very similar to that of the Khasia villagers. Beaded necklaces can also be seen on the neck.

Sylhet District Police Additional Police Superintendent Lutfar Rahman said that the district police arrested him at the Dona border in Kanaighat as he was on his way to India.
