Akbar Hossain Bhuiyan, the former head of the main outpost, was arrested a month after the death of Raihan Ahmed from the Akhalia area at the Bandarbazar police post in Sylhet.

A district police team with the help of locals arrested him in the Dona border area of ​​Kanaighat around 10:30 am on Monday. He was first captured by members of the local Khasia community. Later, the police rushed to rescue him.

In these videos, some young men are seen tying Akbar Hossain’s hands and feet as they sit him on a rock on a hill. At that time Akbar Hossain was crying with his hands together and asking that his hands and feet not be tied. Akbar was crying and saying: I did not kill Raihan. I sent him to the hospital after he got sick. Akbar was seen begging at this time saying ‘I will not live’.

Then the young men bound Akbar hand and foot and led him away on foot with a mountain rhyme.

Sylhet ASP Abdul Karim told reporters that Akbar was arrested in the Laxmiprasad border area in Kanaighat while fleeing to India.

By the way, Raihan Ahmed (34) was tortured by the police at the Bandarbazar police post on the morning of October 11. He later died at the Sylhet MAG Osmani Hospital. Raihan is the son of the late Rafiqul Islam of Neharipara in Akhalia, Sylhet. He used to work in a doctor’s office at the city’s Rikabibazar stadium market.

Raihan’s wife filed a case with the Sylhet Metropolitan Police Kotwali Police Station on the night of 12 October accusing unidentified people of the incident. PBI investigates the case presented by his wife.
