Bidisha has announced that she will re-enter politics by visiting Ershad’s grave. Bidisha, wife of the late Jatiya Party chairman and former chairman HM Ershad, made the announcement after visiting Ershad’s grave at her rural residence in Rangpur on Monday afternoon. Her son Eric Ershad was also with her at the time.

Bidisha told reporters that a party has been thrown to consume Ershad’s property. Thanks to my husband (Ershad) many have become parliamentary ministers. But then no one looked for her. Those who sought him have also been expelled from the party. Referring to her son’s sole heir Eric Ershad, she said that she and her son were also prevented from going to bury after Ershad’s death. They were not even allowed to visit the tomb. Bidisha said: “I want to be active in the national party formed by my husband, I want to work on her ideals.”

Eric Ershad said: I want my mother to be in politics. My father Ershad is lying on the ground in Rangpur, you will pray for him and me. “My mother and I are always scared by threats,” Eric said, noting that they constantly threatened me in various ways.

Arriving at Syedpur airport by plane from Dhaka in the morning, they arrived at Ershad’s residence in Rangpur. As soon as he entered the residence, Eric kissed the photo of his father Ershad downstairs and cried. Bidisha comforts the crying Eric. Later, she went to the newly built Palli Nibas Bhaban in Ershad with her son Eric. They were accompanied by Kazi Rubayet Hasan, legal adviser to Eric Ershad, member of the board of directors of the Ershad Welfare Trust, Sekendar Ali Moni, president of BNA, Sayem Saqlain Rajib, press secretary of the Trust and private deputy secretary of Bidisha.

Meanwhile, Bidisha’s sudden arrival with Eric in Rangpur has created curiosity among the Jatiya Party leaders and grassroots activists and the general public. However, no Jatiya Party leader agreed to comment on Bidisha’s sudden arrival in Rangpur.
