Rajshahi: Finally the sun came out. The sun smiled at noon on Saturday (December 12) in Rajshahi after two days of thick fog.

Although it is not that bright, the inhabitants of the city get some heat in the extreme cold as soon as the sun rises. On the other hand, the cold air in Kankan has subsided a bit. However, the temperature in Rajshahi is dropping.

The lowest temperature recorded in Rajshahi at 6am on Saturday was 14.5 degrees Celsius. The day before it was 18 degrees Celsius. In other words, Rajshahi’s minimum temperature has dropped by 1.95 degrees Celsius in just one day. At the same time, the wind blows. However, the sun was seen after 12 noon.

The lowest temperature recorded in Rajshahi on Sunday (December 6) was 14.9 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature recorded in Rajshahi on Monday (December 6) was 17.6 degrees Celsius. Then on Tuesday (December 6) the low temperature was 16.6 degrees Celsius. These days winter feels a little less. However, on Wednesday (December 9) the temperature dropped 2.6 degrees Celsius to 16.1 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature recorded in Rajshahi on Thursday (December 10) was 18 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Rajshahi was the same on Friday (December 10). With the temperature dropping further, cold spells are forecast.

Meanwhile, public life in Kankan has been disrupted by the cold north wind in winter. Shattered people live in extreme hardship due to a lack of winter clothing. Many try to protect themselves from the cold by burning straw. People leaving home early in the morning in search of work are also suffering.

Many people are entering Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RAMEC) due to a sudden onset of a cold. The number of cold-related illnesses in government hospitals and private clinics is increasing by the day. Newborns and the elderly in particular are increasingly prone to colds.

Ramek Hospital emergency department doctor. Ariful Haque said, suddenly the cold has increased. Therefore, the number of cold patients in the hospital is also increasing. The number of children and the elderly is greater. Most patients come to the hospital with diarrhea, shortness of breath, pneumonia, heart disease and asthma, the doctor said.
