Mokleshur Rahman, son of Shukur Ali, who was killed in the incident, filed a case against the unidentified people at the police station on Sunday. Dhamrai OC Deepak Chandra Saha Police Station arrested Zakir on Sunday morning on suspicion of involvement in the murder.
The officer in charge of the Dhamrai police station, Deepak Chandra Saha, said that the defendant Zakaria Hossain, alias Zakir, had given a confessional statement under Section 164 to Dhaka’s chief judicial magistrate, Rajib Hasan, and Firoz Hossain, at the Chief Judge Ashraful Islam, for being involved in the slaughter of pigs. Shahinur and Monowar Hossain Moon, who were also involved in the killings, were arrested Tuesday night, he said.
