Daftari picked up a schoolgirl on his way home after handing in the homework exam book. The incident took place in Gafargaon upazila in Mymensingh.
The defendant Sharif Mia (25) is the head of the Dhopaghat child welfare primary school office in upazila. On Tuesday (December 1) morning, Sharif Mia picked up the schoolgirl from the Dhopaghat area in upazila.
That same night, the schoolgirl’s mother became the applicant and lodged a written complaint against Sharif Mia with the Gafargaon Police Station.
It was learned that a seventh-grade (12) student from a high school in upazila went to school on Tuesday morning to hand in the homework exam book. On the way home from school, Sharif Mia picked up the student on the street in the Dhopaghat area.
Gafargaon Police OC Anukul Sarkar said: “I have received a written complaint about this incident.” An attempt is being made to rescue the schoolgirl.
The schoolgirl’s mother said that Sharif Mia had been bullying my daughter in various ways for a long time. On the morning of the incident, on the way home from school, Sharif and his accomplices picked up my daughter from the road.
