The Education Minister said: “As before, we had three proposals: direct admission, online admission test, and lottery in all classes. We don’t want to risk taking the admission test directly. Second, not everyone you have internet access for online exams, but there are also connection issues, so in the current situation we have considered the lottery reasonable for admission to all classes.

The education minister said: ‘Many times the question arises about the admission of students to school. Transparency can also be ensured if supported by lottery. I hope I can admit students with full transparency. He hoped that church-run educational institutions would also complete the admissions process in the manner prescribed by the government.

Next year’s SSC and HSC exams are lagging behind: Due to the coronavirus epidemic, it will not be possible to take next year’s SSC and HSC exams on time, the education minister said. In light of this, they will be tested for three months. He said: ‘In light of the short syllabus, we want to give you three months of classes. Because of this, the SSC and HSC exams can take a month or two.

According to the curriculum, the SSC exams started from February 1 and the HSC exams from April 1 for several years. If those days are holidays, these exams start the next day.

In response to a question from journalists, the minister said: “The results of this year’s HSC examination will be published based on the results of the JSC and the SSC.” However, since the SSC exam is more important, it is planned to publish the results based on 75 percent of the scores for this result and 25 percent of the scores for the JSC results. The HSC results will be released in December.

Educational institutions do not open suddenly: if the coronavirus outbreak does not decrease, it will not be possible to open educational institutions, said the Minister of Education. “The coronavirus outbreak appears to be increasing recently,” he said. In this situation, it will not be correct to open an educational institution, nor will the hygiene rules be obeyed.

Responding to a question from journalists, the minister said: “The incidence of winter usually lasts until mid-January. The admissions process will be over. Then, if the incidence of corona decreases, we have plans to open educational institutions for SSC candidates. and HSC, albeit to a lesser extent, however it may be a bit late to open educational institutions for all classes.

There is no book festival in schools: every year on January 1, the book festival has become a public festival. Once again, on the first day of the year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will officially open the book festival. However, there will be no book festival across the country, the education minister said.

Call for admission to clusters in public universities: The Minister of Education has urged public universities to take the admission test in clusters system. He said: ‘If the group is not tested, those who suffer from admission will suffer greatly. Many spend the night in the mosque. Again, students do not have that opportunity. There is a financial loss with this. And it’s not possible thanks to Corona. ‘
