Producer, director and actor Rana Hamid (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Raziun) has gone down to earth with no return. He last breathed in a hospital in the capital on Saturday (May 9). He was diagnosed with cancer.
Kabirul Islam Rana, organizing secretary of the Bangladesh Film Directors Association, confirmed his death to banglanews.
He said that Rana Hamid Bhai was an actor, director and producer at the same time. He had been suffering from stomach cancer and kidney disease for two months. He finally left us. I am deeply saddened by his death.
Kabirul Islam Rana further said that Rana Hamid’s body was being brought from Dhaka to her village home in Netrokona. He will be buried in the family cemetery there on Sunday (May 10).
