Noted film actor Sadeq Bachchu died of coronavirus. The actor (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun) died at the Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali at 12:05 pm on Monday. He was 65 years old.

The managing director of Universal Medical College Hospital confirmed the information to NTV Online. Ashish Kumar Chakraborty. He said: ‘He’s had heart failure twice since morning. We declared him dead at 12:05 pm.

Authorities at Universal Medical College Hospital told NTV Online on Sunday morning (September 13) that the medical board would meet at noon to treat Sadeq Bachchu. A decision will then be made about the treatment of Sadeq Bachchu.

A day later, his condition deteriorated and he was transferred to Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali. There he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Covid Unit.

Sadeq Bachchu is one of the leading actors in Bengali films. He made his film debut in theatrical and television dramas. Sadek Bachchu began performing as a regular BTV artist in 1986-8. His first drama on BTV was ‘Prothom Angikar’.

Sadek Bachchu made his acting debut in the 1975 film Ramer Sumati. He is a retired official of the Bangladesh Postal Department.
