ACC wants an account of the assets of eight people, including four government officials

ACC (Public Relations) director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said a separate notice was sent to them on Sunday seeking an asset statement signed by commission director Syed Iqbal Hossain.

These are- Joint Head of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Sajjadul Islam, Dhaka Public Works Circle-4 Deputy Assistant Engineer Ali Akbar, Tangail Ghatail Upazila Food Inspector. Khorshed Alam, Sheikh Quddus Ahmed, Tax Officer, Dhaka South City Corporation.

In addition, notifications were sent to Moazzem Hossain Sentu, Zakir Hossain and Abdus Salam, contractors in Srinagar, Munshiganj, and Nur-ur-Rashid Chowdhury Ejaz, contractor in Patiya, Chittagong, to file asset declarations.

The notice states, “You must submit within the stipulated 21 business days from receipt of this order the details of all personal / real property, liabilities, sources of income and their acquisition on behalf of yourself and your dependents.”

The notice states that action will be taken under the ACC Act in the event that a declaration of assets is not filed or a false declaration is filed within the stipulated time.

The anti-casino operation by law enforcement began on September 16 last year. Since September 30, the ACC launched an investigation into the acquisition of illegal assets through various means, including casinos.

So far, the company has filed at least 22 cases alleging the illegal acquisition of assets through various means, including casinos.
