ACC seeks more ‘Malek’ 958003 | Voice of tomorrow

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has ordered the filing of financial statements of 20 people, including 12 officials and employees of the health sector, in charge of acquiring unprofitable assets. The directive was issued in a notice signed by ACC Director Syed Iqbal Hossain.

Among those who have been asked to present their assets are Mojibul Haque Munshi, the accountant, the health department and his wife Rifat Akhter; Tofail Ahmed Bhuiyan, Data Entry Operator, Department of Health and his wife Khadija Akter; Abdul Malek, driver of the Department of Health and his wife Nargis Begum; Obaidur Rahman, Administrative Officer, 250-bed Gopalganj General Hospital and his wife Bilkich Rahman; Rehena Akter, Staff Nurse, Faridpur Medical College and husband Obaidur Rahman; Imdadul Haque, Accountant, Rangpur Medical College Hospital and wife Umme Ruman Fancy; Mahmuduzzaman, Administrative Officer (current responsibilities), National Heart Institute and wife Sabina Yasmin; Nazim Uddin, Store Manager, Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital, Gazipur and his wife Firoza Begum; Kamrul Hasan, Office Assistant, Hospitals and Clinics, Health Department and wife. Umm Habiba; Saiful Islam, stenographer and computer operator, Sheikh Sayera Khatun School of Medicine, Gopalganj; Mir Raihan Ali, Deputy Director of Statistics, Office of the Director (Health), Barisal and Anwar Hossain, Accountant, Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

The notice, signed by ACC Director Syed Iqbal Hossain on September 15, states: The order was ordered to ship within 21 business days of receipt of the order. Action will be taken against you if you do not submit the asset declaration within the stipulated time or if you submit a false statement.
