Actor Abdul Quader has passed away. He took his last breath at 8:20 am on Saturday while he was under treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in the capital.

Previously, on December 6, Abdul Quader was admitted to a Christian hospital in Chennai, India, for treatment. On December 15, hospital authorities said he had cancer and that it had already spread throughout his body.
Due to his physical weakness, his family decided to bring Abdul Quader back to the country on December 20 without giving him chemotherapy. They brought him to the country and admitted him to a private hospital in the capital. Since then he has been in treatment there. He was transferred to the ICU after a sudden deterioration in his condition. He died while receiving treatment there.
Abdul Quader was 69 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife Khairunnesa Quader and a son and daughter.
Actor Abdul Quader was born in 1951 in the Sonarang village of Tongibari upazila in Munshiganj. He is the son of Abdul Jalil and Anwara Khatun. He has a BA and a MA in economics from Dhaka University. The career begins with teaching. Then, starting in 1989, he worked at the ‘Bata’ company. It was there for 35 years.
Abdul Quader became widely known for his role as Badi in Humayun Ahmed’s ‘Kothao Keu Nei’ series. The popular actor has acted in television dramas, commercials and movies at the same time. He has acted in 30 productions of ‘Theater’, one of the most popular theater companies in the country. In which is the sound of footsteps; You; Competition; Meraj Fakir’s mother; Two sisters and slaves are remarkable.
He began acting in television dramas from 1982 and radio dramas from 1983. His first serial drama on television was ‘Come to the land of stories’. He has acted in more than two thousand plays. His notable works are: Nobody Elsewhere; In the lap of the earth; Night of the stars; Green Matte Vertex; Three aces; The prince; Afternoon on fire; Green Shadow Pack News; Kusum Kusum love; Neetu loves you; Our little river; Dulabhai; Ignorance Party; Mubarak’s Eid; Polymorphic; This makeup; Dhulibari; Seven detectives; In a birth; The leaves fell and the three sons of Khan Bahadur fell. Abdul Quader has also acted in a movie called ‘Rang Number’.
Abdul Quader was Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Playwrights and Television Playwrights (Tenashinas), the only organization of playwrights and playwrights in Bangladesh Television.
