A-League leader expelled for raping schoolgirl

The leader of the Awami League, Tamiz Uddin Nayan, 50, who was arrested for raping an eighth-grade student (12) in Sonagazi, Feni, was expelled from the party. The arrested Tamiz Uddin Nayan was the president of the Awami League in District 7 of the Matiganj Union.

Earlier on Thursday (October 8), the schoolgirl was arrested at Chuni Majhi Bari in the village of Matiganj in Vadadia around 10:30 pm after a rape case. He became the uncle of that schoolgirl.

Police, the student’s family and locals said there was a furniture store in front of the home of Tamiz Uddin Nayan, son of the late Syed Ahmed of Chuni Majhi Bari in Vadadia village. On October 1, around 8 in the morning, the schoolgirl of a store clerk was going to study privately. Nayan called her to the store and raped her. He threatened to kill the schoolgirl and her father if she told anyone about the incident.

Nayan’s wife saw the matter. As a result, Nayan hit him to shut his mouth. But when the matter came to light during the husband-wife dispute, it spread on Facebook. Later, around 8 p.m. Thursday, the schoolgirl told her parents about the incident.

Sonagazi Model Police OC (investigation) said. Abdur Rahim Sarkar said the student’s mother had filed a case against Tamiz Uddin Nayan at the Sonagazi Model Police Station. Sieve Uddin Nayan has been arrested in the case.
