Information Minister Hasan Mahmud has said that a conspiracy is being hatched to disturb the peace in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. He said that those who are unhappy with the development and status in the Chittagong Hill Tracts are conspiring. Its external manifestation is seen occasionally. The Information Minister said this when opening the Sajeke Mountain Bike Competition at Baghaichhari Upazila in Rangamati on Monday.
Speaking as the main guest, Hasan Mahmud said that the government is focused on development in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. So now there is a touch of development. This mountain bike competition at the Chittagong Hill Tracts will spread around the world. In the future, competitors from different countries will also participate. Through these contests, tourism will become more familiar.
The three-day CHT Bangabandhu Tour Mountain Bike Competition officially opened at Ruilui Tourist Center in Sajek Union, Baghaichhari Upazila, Rangamati around 8.30am. Rangamati MP Dipankar Talukder, Khagrachhari MP Kujendra Lal Tripura and Women’s reserved MP Basanti Chakma spoke under the chairmanship of Chittagong Hill Tracts Ministry Secretary Shafiqul Ahmed.
The Brigadier General Commander of the Khagrachhari region was also present on the occasion. Faizur Rahman, the deputy commissioner of Rangamati AKM Mamunur Rashid and others.
