The Qawmi Madrasa – Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh (BEFAC) Board has decided not to accept government grants.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Khas at a meeting held at the Befaq headquarters on Saturday. The meeting was chaired by Hazrat Maulana Abdul Quddus Sahib, Senior Vice President (interim) of Befaq.

After extensive discussion and review of the issue at the meeting, it was decided to abandon the government grant, Qawmi Madrasa’s one hundred and fifty years of history, and the political ideology of Darul Uloom Deoband. Therefore, officials from all the Qaumi Madrasas are urged to refrain from accepting such grants.

It should be mentioned that recently, on the occasion of Holy Ramadan, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the financial assistance of Taka 8 crore 31 lakh 25 thousand to 6,959 Qawmi Madrasas in the country.

Befaq leaders said Qawmi madrasahs across the subcontinent have been operating following the principles and curriculum of India’s famous Daro Uloom Deoband. One of the eight principles established by Darul Uloom Deoband, which is inviolable at the time of its establishment, is to refrain from accepting government grants under any circumstances. Therefore, no Qawmi Madrasa in the country can accept government subsidies by abandoning this principle. Even in the past, during various natural disasters and difficult crises, our predecessors did not approach the government for grants.

They further stated that Darul Uloom Deoband was established by the Aqabis and Asalafs in a difficult situation for the protection of Islam, Muslims and religion in the subcontinent. ) The definition of Qawmi Madrasa in the section says: Ul with the financial support of the Muslim public Qawmi Madrasa is the revelation educational center in Ilm, established and run by Mama Keram. Ignoring those historical principles and the definition of Qawmi Madrasa, we cannot accept government subsidies in any way.

The leaders called on Qawmi Madrasa officials not to block the path of eternal miraculous aid by accepting government grants to overcome the momentary crisis. Have firm faith in Allah Pak, keep praying for the liberation of the world and the Muslim Ummah from the plague of the Crown. In all cases, Allah will protect us, Inshallah.

Allama Ahmed Shafi, the honorary president of Befaq, was contacted since the meeting and approved the decision.

The meeting was attended by Maulana Abdul Quddus, Maulana Noor Hussain Qasemi, Maulana Abdul Hamid (Pir Sahib Madhupur), Maulana Shafiullah, Hazrat Maulana Mahfuzul Haq, Maulana Bahauddin Mawlana.
