A mobile court on Friday afternoon visited the Kadurkhil Union in Boalkhali Upazila and imposed the fine.
The convict is a resident of neighborhood C of the Kadurkhil union. He is working as a senior officer at a branch of the private Exim bank in Dhaka.
After returning to the village on April 26 amid a coronavirus outbreak, the UP local president instructed him to stay home in quarantine.
Boalkhali Upazila (Land) assistant commissioner Mozammel Haque Chowdhury, who runs the mobile court, told bdnews24.com:
After hearing about the matter from the locals, Assistant Commissioner Mozammel went home with members of the military and police.

Assistant Commissioner Mozammel also said he had received information that the bank official had traveled to and from Dhaka and Chittagong three times in the past month in various ambulances and cargo transports.
