French Prime Minister Eduardo Philippe has announced the end of the current season for all sports in France due to the coronavirus. As a result, the country’s top two League One and League Two seasons have been canceled.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the French government has banned the organization of all kinds of sporting events until next September. No game can be organized on a field without spectators.

In a statement, French Prime Minister Eduardo Philippe announced that the law would be relaxed starting May 11. He also informed that all the games of the 2019-20 season will be canceled.

The governing body of French football had planned to start the game on June 16 of this season. And I wanted to finish on July 25. But the Prime Minister rejected that plan.

“We must respect the decision of the French government,” said Nasser al-Khelafai, president of the League One PSG team. We plan to compete in the Champions League or wherever, with the UEFA contract. “If it is not possible to play in France, we will play our matches abroad subject to all conditions for our players and the safety of our staff.”
