Srimangal Radhab Camp Commander ASP Md. Discussed in various incidents via social media. A RAB team led by Anwar Hossain Shamim has stopped the gathering of thousands of people to guarantee social distance. The incident took place in the Dheupasha area of Sadar upazila in Moulvibazar.

It should be mentioned that Maulana Abdul Mumit (72) of Mohaddes de Baruna Madrasa in Moulvibazar had a brain hemorrhage at his home on Tuesday afternoon. He was later taken to Mount Adora Hospital in Sylhet, where doctors declared him dead. The body was brought home that night. He was buried on Wednesday morning. As he is a renowned scholar, he has many admirers, sympathizers, and students. This madrasa has a history of gathering thousands of people in the janaza of the ancient lords. So, after Abdul Mumit’s death, there was a possibility that millions of people would gather around his janaza.

Hearing the incident, Anwar Hossain Shamim left for the Dheupasha village of Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila with the RAB force at night. Funeral arrangements were made in the early morning hours through a joint discussion by local religious leaders, relatives of the deceased, the police, the administration and the RAB.

He was buried in the family cemetery at 4:10 am after performing Janaza with due religious dignity while maintaining social distance. A limited number of people participated in the janaza.

Oliur Rahman, a teacher at Baruna Madrasa, said that he had been teaching for about 48 years. One of the times was in Varuna Madrasa. It was very popular with students and teachers. If the situation were normal, millions of people would have attended his janaza. In the role of RAB and in our consciousness, people could not crowd.

In this context, said RAB ASP Anwar Hossain Shamim, an incident in Brahmanbaria has been widely criticized. The same could happen here. To ensure social distance in the current situation, I have given the utmost importance to how the janaza can be completed before the day. Because millions of people used to gather during the day in the presence or admirers of this man. Since there was an emotion problem here, he had to be discreet. We were able to convince everyone throughout the night. As a result, janaza is performed in the morning according to social distance and without any meeting.
