Tiger captain Akbar Ali, who won the 2020 Youth World Cup, entered the auction book to help victims in Karona.
In announcing the auction, Akbar wrote on social media Facebook: “Without a doubt, winning the U-19 World Cup is the best achievement of my life so far. Corona will auction off two memories of that achievement during this crisis. The first is the shirt. from the final game and the second are the batting gloves used in the final. All proceeds from the auction will be spent on victims in Corona.
Shakib Al Hasan has auctioned off his favorite bat (used in the 2019 World Cup) to support people in the Corona disaster. Many more cricketers get ahead on Shakib’s path to auction off their favorite cricket team. This time Akbar followed the elders.
The World Cup winner Bangladesh U19 team has already donated money to the Cricketers Welfare Association (CWA). As the team captain, Akbar decided to bring the jersey and batting gloves to the auction and wanted to lead the youth in times of crisis.
