Ruhul Amin, 30, father of five children, was raped while trying to rape a housewife in Fulchhari upazila de Gaibandha. The incident took place in the Char village of Dakshin Sanyasi in the Erendabari junction of upazila on Wednesday night.
Ruhul Amin was admitted to the Sadar Hospital in the Gaibandha district with injuries on Thursday morning. The housewife said that she did this to save her self-esteem.
The family and the housewife locals said, Ruhul Amin, son of neighbor Awlad Hossain, was unable to establish a long-term immoral relationship with the wife of a prisoner in the Char village of Dakshin Sanyasi. When the fisherman went fishing in the river on Wednesday night, Ruhul Amin entered the house and attempted to rape the housewife while she slept. At that moment, the housewife cut Ruhul Amin’s penis with a sharp blade to save his dignity.
After the incident, Ruhul Amin escaped. Later this morning, Ruhul Amin’s relatives admitted him to the Gaibandha General Hospital with injuries.
Gaibandha General Hospital Residential Medical Officer. Md. Harun-ur-Rashid said, A man named Ruhul Amin, a victim of genital mutilation, has been admitted to the hospital. He is being treated.
The officer in charge (OC) of the Fulchhari police station, Kawshar Ali, said, He received no written complaint about it. Legal action will be taken if any complaint is received.
