The government has taken over 39,000 special BCS graduates. However, 535 of those who have passed are not yet at the Ministry of Family Welfare.
PSC has recommended recruitment in the box. And a kind of complication has been created. Those who receive referrals from outsiders want to go there with 2,000 new doctors.
They claim that their position is at the top of the list of no cadres published in the BCS special.
They go under the Ministry of Health like four doctors. In this case, they should have priority. However, says the PSC, they will all be considered. The government and the PSC will work together so that no one is deprived.
The government has decided to recruit 2,000 doctors in an emergency due to the carnivirus infection. In February, the Ministry of Family Welfare received 535 recommendations for recruitment without cadres.
The PSC called a special meeting on Tuesday to appoint new doctors. PSC sources have confirmed at first glance that these issues will be discussed there.
Some of the 535 people who were recommended to the Ministry of Family Welfare by outsiders said that on condition of anonymity they were initially on the waiting list. From there, the PSC recommended the recruitment of 574 non-cadres as of February this year. The Ministry of Family Welfare has issued a notice for the appointment of 535 of them as medical officers. This Monday, the Ministry of Family Welfare issued a notice to begin the recruitment process for this list.
“We have learned that the government is recruiting 2,000 people who are not cadres of the 39th BCS and the waiting list,” said a doctor. Meanwhile, according to the 39th BCS list of merits, the first 574 people have been recommended as non-cadres in other ministries and departments, including family planning. Since at that time there were no non-cadre posts in the Ministry of Health, we were recommended to another department according to the merit list. The police check, bulletin or recruitment process has not yet started. Therefore, if there are vacancies in the Ministry of Health, they are eligible to obtain them based on the list of merits.
“If we are recommended in family planning from the beginning of the merit list but behind us in the merit list as non-cadres in the Ministry of Health, we will be deprived and unfairly treated,” the doctors said. Recruit from the following list for family well-being if necessary. No one will be deprived of it.
When asked about this, PSC President Mohammad Sadiq told Prothom Alo: “We are working on the issue.” Neither we nor the government will do anything to deprive anyone.
According to the PSC, the application process for the 39th Special BCS began on April 10, 2017 and ended on April 30. Later, on August 3 of that year, the preliminary examination of the BCS was carried out, in which 36,573 people participated. A total of 13,650 doctors passed the test. Of these, 13,219 physicians passed the position of assistant surgeon and 531 passed the position of assistant dental surgeon.
It is recommended to recruit 4,792 doctors from this special BCS. After that, the names of 6,360 non-cadres who passed the 39th BCS were announced.
The government and the PSC think that it is possible to recruit these doctors only from the 39th BCS. They have started working for this.
