The British news agency Reuters claimed in a special report that China had sent a team of medical experts to North Korea’s top leader Kim Jong Un to give him health advice. Reuters reported that a team of doctors had been dispatched to China, citing internal sources, following reports in the international media that Kim Jong Un was “seriously ill.” However, China has not made any official statement in this regard.

Local newspaper NK Daily quoted unconfirmed sources saying Kim had been suffering from various heart problems since August last year. His problem became more apparent after he returned from the Payektu Hills. Based on this news, the problem of Kim’s disease arose in the media in different countries of the world.

The top leader of the Chinese Communist Party’s International Liaison Division left Beijing on Thursday (April 24) for North Korea, Reuters reported Saturday. He is accompanied by a group of doctors. The Chinese chancellor is in charge of North Korea. Reuters said the Chinese source did not agree to provide other information in this regard. Even the British media was unable to gather comments from any of the liaison department leaders in an immediate attempt.

With North Korea separated from the rest of the world, it is almost impossible to verify the news of Kim’s illness. Shortly after the rumors spread, South Korean and United States intelligence agencies launched an investigation to uncover the actual facts. South Korean government sources later said the news of Kim’s illness was not true.

“I think the news of Kim’s illness is not true,” United States President Donald Trump said Thursday. Meanwhile, a South Korean source told Reuters on Friday that Kim Jong Un was alive. It will appear in public soon. However, the source did not agree to give any information about his current physical condition.

On April 15, Kim Jong Un was absent from her grandfather’s national holiday and the launch of the North Korean missile. Kim, 38, has been out of public view for almost a month, sparking rumors of his illness. However, Kim Jong Un’s tendency not to appear in public is not new. In early 2014, he was not seen in any media for a few months.

China has yet to comment on Kim’s health report.
