Inzamam made the claim in a recent conversation with another former Pakistani captain, Ramiz Raja, on his YouTube channel. He made such comments about the hitters he has played against in India.
“When we played India, their batting was stronger than ours on paper. Even if our hitters scored 30-40, they were for the team. And if the Indians scored 100, they played for themselves. That was the difference between the two teams”.
Since its debut in 1991, Inzamam has played 120 tests, 36 ODI and a T20I for Pakistan. In his long career, he has encountered opponents such as Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammad Azharuddin, Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh.
Pakistan has won five of the 12 matches against India in the Inzamam test series. Lost in four, three have been tied. In 83 ODI, Pakistan won 40 of them. India won 29 and lost four games.
