In 1981-82, she received the Best Actress Award from the Government of West Bengal and the Best Director Award from the West Bengal Drama Academy three times in a row. He also received the Safdar Hasmi Award from the Sangeet Natak Academy in Uttar Pradesh and the Sangeet Natak Academy Award from Delhi in 1997 for his special contribution in the field of drama. Prabha received the Khaitan Prize in 2003 and the Garima Samman from the Indian Language Council in 2004. He retired from teaching in 2006. He was popular as a playwright and social worker.
