The son of a police officer was shot and killed at his home in Chittagong. His name is Mushfiqul Haque Mahin (18). The incident took place in a house in the Mirpur residential area of the Akbar Shah Police Station on Friday.
Mahin is the son of SI Mohim Uddin from the Khulshi Police Station. Mahin passed HSC from CMP School and College last year.
Chittagong (Pahartali) Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Arif Hossain told the media that Mahin was scolded by his father today at noon (Friday). Mahin committed suicide with his father’s service pistol. Relatives rushed him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, where the police recovered Mahin’s body.
Arif Hossain further said that SI Mohim Uddin went to the mosque to offer prayers after scolding his son. Later, her son had a bath, went into her room, and locked the door. After a while, the family members broke down the door and entered the house and saw Mahin shoot. Later, Mahin was transferred to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. Upon receiving the news, the police recovered Mahin’s body from the hospital and seized the gun from the house.
Zahir Hossain, OC of Akbar Shah Police Station, said that Mahin had passed HSC and was preparing to take the entrance exam in medical school. But Mahin did not take part in the medical admission test held on Friday. Baba SI Mahim scolded him for this.
