Sirajganj: The striking mosque was inaugurated at a cost of Tk 30 crore with the Friday prayers of some 10,000 worshipers.

Friday prayers began at 2:15 pm on Friday (April 2) at the Al-Aman Bahela Khatun Jame Mosque in the Mukundganti area of ​​Belkuchi upazila in Sirajganj.

Although there is a place for the prayers of 5,000 worshipers inside the mosque, the same number of worshipers have prayed outside the mosque.

The ‘Al-Aman Bahela Khatun Jame Mosque’ is known to have been built on 2.5 bighas of land on the west side of the Sirajganj-Enayetpur road in Mukundganti Mahalla of Belkuchi municipal area, 20 km from Sirajganj city . The prominent industrialist Mohammad Ali Sarkar laid the foundation stone for the construction of this mosque in September 2016. He died in August last year. Later, his son Amanullah Sarkar took over the work of the mosque. Built over a period of four and a half years at a cost of around Tk 30 crore, the construction style of this mosque has already caught the attention of thousands of people.
