Voice of Time, Dhaka – Coronavirus outbreaks are increasing across the country, with 29 districts identified as ‘risky’ by the Health Department.
Additional Director General of the Department of Health in a virtual press conference on Monday. Mirzadi Sebrina Flora told reporters. He said that Dhaka, Chittagong, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Munshiganj, Feni and Chandpur are among the 29 districts.
Analyzing the data received by the MIS branch of the health department as of March 24, these districts have been identified as ‘risky’, said Dr. Flora.
Meanwhile, the National Technical Committee for Crown Prevention has proposed a partial closure in 29 high-risk districts identified by the health department. Committee member and former Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Nazrul Islam has proposed closure in some areas of 29 districts.
He told the media: “To get out of the situation in which the detection rate increases day by day, the 29 districts declared at risk by the department can be declared partial closure.”
He also said that people who live in these areas, those around them who have come into contact with infected or infected patients should be identified and examined.
Nazrul Islam said: ‘This time we have to be careful. The authorities must be vigilant so that the incident does not happen again. As corona detection rates continue to rise, the situation could become even more dire. People have been indifferent to obeying the rules of health. Coping with the second wave of corona infections may require more preparation than before.
At the beginning of the year, coronary heart disease infection is greatly reduced, and as vaccination begins, people begin to neglect hygiene. At the same time, all the tourist areas of the country were also opened.
By the end of March, both infections and deaths were on the rise. The number of patients identified in the last two days exceeded five thousand. Which is the highest in the country considering the infection.
In such a situation, the Department of Health has identified 29 districts where a high incidence of coronavirus is occurring. Given the situation, public health experts have advised the government to be more stringent.
Meanwhile, the government announced on Monday 18 new guidelines to prevent coronavirus infection. Among them, the restriction of public meetings for all kinds of social, political and religious ceremonies stands out.
Under the 18-point directive, the government has banned all public gatherings in high-risk areas. It also includes instructions for limiting crowds at tourism and recreation centers.
The Health Department said interdistrict communication with those districts could be limited if necessary. However, the administration of the district in question will make a decision after understanding the situation in the district.
