A university student named Sadiqul Islam Rion (18) was killed in an unscrupulous attack while on his way to the hospital with his sick younger sister in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj. He died around 11:15 pm on Saturday. In the early afternoon the attack took place.

According to the police, Sadiqul Islam Ryan’s sick younger sister, Nusrat, was taken to the hospital by her father Zahirul Islam Kochi, her mother Josna Begum and her uncle Shahidul Islam Bhulta on Saturday afternoon. On the way, the malefactors, who were on the verge of animosity and disputes over the land, attacked them with indigenous weapons such as Ramda, chapati, Chinese ax, knife, iron bar, SS pipe.
The malefactors hacked and injured them at random. They took cash and gold ornaments from them. At one point, people from the area ran away yelling at them and the terrorists fled with death threats. They were later rescued and admitted to a hospital in Dhaka’s Maghbazar and later to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Sanwar Islam, the uncle of the murdered Sadiqul Islam Ryan, has brought a murder case to the Rupganj police station charging nine people.
