Interior Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the strike will not be allowed. He told the media on Friday (March 26) evening.

The interior minister said the decision would be made after examining the issue of violence in custody in Dhaka, Chittagong and Brahmanbaria.

Earlier, at a press conference in Purana Paltan at 8pm on Friday (March 26), Amir Abdur Rob Yousufi, the central naib of Hefazat-e-Islami Bangladesh, announced a nationwide protest on Saturday (March 26) and a strike on Sunday (March 26).

Police confronted a section of worshipers in front of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital this afternoon. The police fired rubber bullets and tear gas to control the situation. Water cannons are also used. At least 20 people, including a journalist, were injured in the incident and were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Similarly, after prayers on Friday (March 26), when the persecution was taking place at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka, Brahmanbaria became a city of horrors.

In the golden jubilee of independence, the students of the madrasa carried out terrible violence throughout the city of Brahmanbaria. At that time, they indiscriminately demolished the murals and government structures in Bangabandhu.
