On the second day of the visit, Modi will pay tribute by visiting Bangabandhu’s tomb in Tungipara in Gopalganj on the morning of March 26.
He also visited two temples in Satkhira and Gopalganj and expressed interest in having a brief exchange of views with the local population.
In addition to the private meeting between the two Prime Ministers on Saturday afternoon, a bilateral meeting will be held at the representative level. The meeting will discuss various topics of mutual interest. At the end of the meeting, in the presence of the two Prime Ministers, there is the possibility of signing some MoUs and inaugurating some projects.
The Foreign Ministries of the two countries are working tirelessly to finalize the Memorandum of Understanding and the inauguration of the project. The two prime ministers will also unveil two separate commemorative stamps marking the 50th anniversary of friendly relations between Bangladesh and India on behalf of their respective countries.
The Prime Minister of India will also pay a courtesy visit to the President at his office. After the visit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will depart from Dhaka for Delhi on the night of March 26.
