Home teacher Ashrafuzzaman Rana (32) forcibly raped and secretly recorded a video of a college student while teaching privately at her home in Narail’s Lohagarh Township. The police have arrested him.
The girl’s father filed a case with the Lohagarh Police Station. Later, the accused professor Rana Narail, Senior Judicial Magistrate, Amatul Morshedar, gave a confessional statement under section 164 in court.
According to the case and police sources, a 17-year-old college student went to the home of Ashrafuzzaman Rana, a home teacher, son of the late Moniruzzaman Sheikh from Gopinathpur village in Lohagarh Township, to study privately on October 14, last year. As the teacher’s house was empty that day, the teacher forcibly raped the student and secretly recorded the video of the rape on her mobile phone.
The lustful teacher raped the student more than once for fear of making the video of the rape viral on social media and extorted money from her on several occasions by selling her gold jewelry.
With the consent of the family, the student’s wedding day was set last Sunday with a child in the nearby village of Dhopadah. A day earlier, the accused guardian Rana went to Patrapaksh’s home and showed a video of the rape. At one point, when her marriage broke up, the student informed her family about the rape.
On Monday morning, the student’s father filed a case at the Lohagarh Police Station. Lohagarh SI Saiful Islam Police Station arrested Rana on Monday and recovered her mobile phone along with a video of the rape.
The officer in charge of the Lohagarh Police Station, Syed Ashiqur Rahman, said that the defendant Ashrafuzzaman Rana had made a confessional statement under Section 164 in Narail’s Higher Judicial Magistrate Amatul Morshedar court on Monday afternoon.
