Police on the ground again to prevent corona infection

Dhaka: After years of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection, the infection rate has increased again recently. Faced with this situation, the police officers return to the field to make sure that people wear masks and strictly follow hygiene rules.

Police are launching a special mobilization program across the country on Sunday (March 21). This program will continue with the theme ‘Mask wearing habit, Bangladesh without a crown’.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) said at a press conference on Thursday (March 18). Benazir Ahmed said that a special motivational program will be launched on March 21 on the theme “Wearing masks, Covid Free Bangladesh”. Under this program, the police will inspire and motivate people to follow hygiene rules in the field. However, this initiative has been taken by the police to motivate everyone in the field to comply with hygiene rules. In addition to keeping the economy and lifestyle normal, plans have been made to control Corona’s situation. According to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), the DMP has already started distributing free masks as directed by the IGP. However, starting Sunday, all areas of the DMP will be monitored. Area-based DMP members will motivate the public and distribute free skins.

National police initiatives to combat corona include the distribution of the Bangladesh Police Guidelines (SOP) to Prevent Coronavirus; Distribution of free masks with police logos; Induction of corona vaccine; Distribution of awareness microphones, brochures and posters; Play a role in ensuring social and physical distance; Burial of the dead in Corona; Transformation of disused police facilities into isolation and quarantine centers. Identification and quarantine of immigrants through the immigration police; Response to incoming calls to Corona through the National Emergency Service 999; Police installed PCR labs in hospitals to provide covid testing and treatment; Provision of medical services to officials of government institutions and ministries other than the police in the police hospital. Addressing the public, the IGP said: “Wear a mask as soon as you leave the house, never forget to bring a mask.” Since we live in the Global Village. Even though we are free from infection, the threat of infection persists. Until everyone is risk-free, we must follow the hygiene rules. Everyone should wear a mask with themselves, their children, their families and the elderly in mind.
