On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Imam has been fired from his job for organizing prayers for the forgiveness of his soul. The imam of the mosque, Maulana Saddam Hossain, alleged that the incident took place at Jami Masjid in Uttar Pradesh after prayers on Friday.

However, local BNP leader Abdus Sattar Sarkar, general secretary of the mosque committee, denied the allegations and said the temporary imam had been removed for failing to provide documents.

Imam Maulana Saddam Hussein alleges that he has been an Imam at the mosque for the past two months. On Friday morning, the Islamic Foundation called him and asked him to offer special prayers after Friday prayers for the forgiveness of Bangabandhu’s soul. According to him, after prayers, he prayed for the forgiveness of Bangabandhu’s soul. But when the worshipers left after prayers, Abdus Sattar, the general secretary of the mosque committee, called him in and forbade him to come to offer prayers. He (the Secretary General) did not listen to him when asked if he was excluded for praying for Bangabandhu.

The mosque worshiper, Momin, said that it was not right to suddenly exclude Imam Sahib. He did not do well to exclude him (Imam) without the decision of the committee. After the poison was known, everyone got mad at the general secretary. All the other worshipers protested against the Imam’s omission.

Abdus Sattar Sarkar, general secretary of the Upazila Talshan Uttarpara Jame Mosque Committee and convener of the BNP of the Adamdighi Sadar Union, denied the allegations and said that Maulana Saddam Hussein had been in charge of the mosque temporarily for the past month and a half. . He was asked to bring papers for stabilization. He said he would bring them on Friday.

When he wanted to see his papers after Friday prayers, he said, “Who leads the prayers in this upazila with the papers?” Then I told him that if the imam leaves the mosque without the paperwork, then we won’t have to do anything. The problem is now trying to flow from one cycle to another.

Shafi Ahmed, chairman of the mosque committee, said on his mobile phone that he had come to Dhaka for treatment due to a physical illness. That is why I do not know the matter. Also, after Friday prayers for Bangabandhu, I also came to ask Imam Sahib to pray. If he (the Imam) is left out in such an event, then it is not correct. I will investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, lawyer Waheduzzaman Zaman, president of the Adamdighi Sadar Union Awami League, said that special prayers have been offered in mosques across the country on behalf of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. If the incident at the Talshan Uttarpara mosque is true, I demand legal action against the secretary of that mosque committee.
