Authorities have recommended 12 points to curb the rise in coronavirus infection in Bangladesh. An emergency meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the director general of the health department on preventing COVID-19 and what to do now. At that meeting, 12 proposals were approved to control the Covid-19 situation and prevent infection. These proposals have been sent to the Ministry of Health and the Cabinet Division.
Mohammad Robed Amin, spokesman for the health department and director of the NCDC branch, said the recommendations were sent to the ministry and the cabinet department in a meeting with experts.
He said that since there are several policy decisions here, the Department of Health will implement the decisions that the government will make later.
Although the coronavirus infection rate has decreased in Bangladesh, it has started to rise again in recent days. A total of 1.85 people were recently diagnosed with the coronavirus in 24 hours on Wednesday and 11 people died. Previously, the last 1.7 patients were identified on December 15 of last year. A total of 5 lakh 72,752 people have been affected in Bangladesh.
Proposals to prevent infections
1. If possible, go to full lockdown. Otherwise, the Department of Health has recommended closing any public meeting taking into account the coordination of economic activities.
2. Commodity markets, public transportation, shopping malls, mosques, political meetings, voting ceremonies, waz mahfils, Ramadan iftar mahfils, etc. should be restricted.
3. Educational institutions that are closed must be closed. Other activities should also be limited.
4. Any public examination (including BCS, SSC, HSC, Madrasa, Dakhil) must be stopped.
5. Steps should be taken to isolate patients with Covid-19.
. Those who come into contact with patients must remain in strict quarantine.
. Those coming from abroad or expatriates must remain in strict quarantine for 14 days. If necessary, the assistance of the military can be requested in this regard.
. Eid holidays may be reduced.
9. The hygiene law must be enforced more vigorously.
10. There is a need to further increase the manpower at the port of entry and there is a need to intensify surveillance activities.
11. Initiatives should be taken to hold all kinds of meetings virtually.
12. Traffic should be restricted in tourist areas.
Earlier, on March 13, the cabinet department issued a notification to ensure the use of masks throughout the country and to comply with health regulations. It says that to control the infection rate, everyone must ensure hygiene, including wearing a mask.
