At least 16 countries in Europe and outside of Europe, including Norway, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Ireland, and Iceland, have stopped vaccinations due to reports of blood clots in AstraZeneca vaccine side effects.

Emma Cook, director of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), said she “strongly believes” that the benefits outweigh the risks of the astragenera vaccine.

He also said that the exact cause of blood clots in the few people who took the estrogen vaccine was being investigated.

AstraZeneca vaccines have also been discontinued in Germany, France and Italy

The WHO has also been asked not to stop vaccination. A team of WHO experts is scheduled to meet Tuesday to monitor the safety of the Oxford-AstraZeneca tick.

As for blood clots, AstraZeneca authorities say that more than 16 million people in Europe and the UK have been vaccinated. Of these, only 36 had blood clotting symptoms.

The UK drug regulator has also found no link between the AstraZeneca vaccine and blood clots.
