The High Court has ruled that the report, titled “All the Prime Minister’s Men,” aired on the Al Jazeera television network, should be immediately removed from the online platform.

The ruling asked the authorities of the social networks Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram to remove the report nationally and internationally online and not upload it again. The court requested the Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to implement the directive immediately. The Superior Court has rendered this verdict on its own initiative with special powers.
On February 18, the High Court ordered the removal of the report from all online platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Attorney General AM Amin Uddin appeared for the state in court that day. Barrister Reza-e Rakib was in favor of BTRC. Attorney Enamul Kabir Emon was in favor of the writ petition.
On February 8, a court petition was filed in High Court to prevent Al Jazeera from broadcasting. Rite called for the removal of the ‘All the Prime Minister’s Men’ report, which was published in the media, on all online platforms, including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
